SANTA ROSA – The 2024 Clovis Community College men's soccer season came to a close with the No. 23-seeded Crush's 3-0 loss at No. 10 Santa Rosa Junior College in the first round of the Northern California Regional Playoffs.
The Crush made their first playoff appearance under second-year head coach Yaw Danso and were back after a one-year absence. Clovis ended the 2024 season with a 3-8-8 overall record and finished fifth in the Central Valley Conference with a 1-4-5 mark.
2024 ALL-CENTRAL VALLEY CONFERENCE POSTSEASON AWARDS
Following the close of the regular season, six members of the Clovis Community College men's soccer team were honored with 2024 All-Central Valley Conference postseason awards.
Heading the list was sophomore Sebastian Aguilar as he was named the Central Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Year. Also, top honors went to defender Marcos Samaniego as he was selected the CVC Freshman of the Year.
First-team all-conference accolades went to sophomore midfielder Zach Rodriguez and sophomore midfielder David Valencia. Second-team honorees were freshman midfielder Cristian Garcia and sophomore defender Dominic Ortega.
