Baseball Goes 1-2 in Series against Cerritos

BAKERSFIELD, CA- The Bakersfield College baseball team hosted Cerritos College in a three-game series over three days and came away with one win on Saturday. 

Game 1: Cerritos 16, Bakersfield 2 (Feb. 6, 2025)
Cerritos exploded for eight runs in the second inning and never looked back, dominating Bakersfield 16-2. BC struggled at the plate, striking out 19 times against Cerritos pitching. 

Game 2: Cerritos 5, Bakersfield 4 (Feb. 7, 2025)
Cerritos edged Bakersfield 5-4 in a tightly contested game. The Renegades mounted a late rally, scoring twice in the sixth and once in the seventh, but fell just short. Bakersfield's Trent Martin and Nick Martin each contributed an RBI in the loss.

Game 3: Bakersfield 7, Cerritos 3 (Feb. 8, 2025)
Bakersfield salvaged the series finale with a 7-3 victory over Cerritos. Jordan Brito and Jordan Mora each scored twice, while Liam O'Reilly contributed key hits. The Renegades' offense capitalized on nine walks issued by Cerritos pitchers. 

BC's overall record is now 2-3 and will host Taft College on Wednesday for a 6:00 pm first pitch.
