
SONORA – A 25-15, 25-14, 25-18 Coalinga College victory at Columbia College on Friday closed out another impressive week of Central Valley Conference play for the Falcons women's volleyball team.
Coalinga won both its conference matches by sweeps after taking down in-district rival 25-15, 25-14, 25-11 at home on Wednesday.
Sophomore Beth Moreno had a huge match against Columbia as she totaled 5 kills, 12 digs, 7 aces, and a block. Faith Bakker added 8 kills, Larissa Vancil chipped in with 9 digs, and Sarah Wold led with 11 assists.
In the Lemoore match, Shianne Davis totaled 8 kills over 2 sets to lead the Falcons while Zoe Ruskofsky added 7 kills and 10 digs, also in just a pair of sets.
Kinnedy Miller chipped in 5 kills and Wold led again with 12 assists.
Coalinga improved to 15-4 overall and 4-3 in the Central Valley Conference. The Falcons are back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 16) when they travel to Fresno City College for a 6 p.m. conference match.
