Falcons suffer 73-59 non-conference loss at Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD – Corian Taylor posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead Coalinga College in a 73-59 loss at Bakersfield College on Wednesday night.

The two squads battled in the first half but a late run by Bakersfield gave the Renegades a 28-23 halftime-lead. Bakersfield outscored Coalinga 45-36 over the final 20 minutes to hand the Falcons the loss.

Taylor had a solid game as he added 5 steals and 4 assists. Jamarian Harper also put up good numbers with 12 points, 7 steals, and 6 rebounds.

Josiah Perez-Little contributed 9 points off the bench and Isaiah Harper chipped in with 8 points.

Coalinga dropped to 1-9 overall on the season. The Falcons will look to snap a four-game losing streak when they host Allan Hancock College on Saturday (Dec. 7) at 5 p.m.
