SAN MATEO – Trey Booker totaled 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists to help lead Lemoore College to its second straight win, a 77-70 victory at College of San Mateo on Friday.
This came two days after the Golden Eagles rolled to an 87-78 triumph at home over Gavilan College on Wednesday. Lemoore improved to 4-3 overall after the two wins.
On Friday, the Golden Eagles led 36-33 at halftime and were able to hang on for the win.
Deshawn Shears had a huge game underneath the basket for the Golden Eagles. He led with 14 rebounds and 7 blocked shots to go along with 4 points. Samuel Domond added 12 points and Braydin Samuels scored 11 points.
Carson Evans had 10 points off the bench and Kason Smith contributed 9 points and 6 boards.
It was another close game for the Golden Eagles on Wednesday against Gavilan. Lemoore held a slim 38-35 advantage at the break and was able to outlast the Rams for the win.
Booker had a huge game with a season-high 36 points. He has scored at least 20 points in all seven games this season.
Shears led Lemoore on the boards with 12 rebounds and Samuels had 17 points.
Lemoore, now 4-3 will take some time off for the Thanksgiving break. The Golden Eagles return to the court on Dec. 6 to open the Cabrillo College Saltwater Classic tournament.
