SAN JOSE – The 2024-25 Lemoore College men's basketball season got off to an impressive start as the Golden Eagles cruised to a 93-60 victory over Palo Verde College on Thursday in their opening game of the San Jose City College Tip-Off Classic.
The three-day tourney continues on Friday (Nov. 8) with the Golden Eagles taking on Hartnell College at 3 p.m.
On Thursday, the Golden Eagles built a 47-29 halftime advantage and were never challenged in the second.
Sophomore Trey Booker had a huge season-debut for Lemoore as he posted a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Jaylan Walton led the Golden Eagles with 26 points. He also added 7 boards and 5 assists.
Freshman Deshawn Shears had a double-double of his own with 11 points and 12 rebounds. And sophomore Samuel Domond contributed 11 points and 7 boards.
