
COALINGA – The Coalinga College women's volleyball team closed out the 2024 regular-season schedule with a 3-0 loss to Fresno City College on Friday at home.
Entering the finale, the Falcons had won six straight matches. Coalinga ended in fourth place in the final Central Valley Conference standings at 10-6 and will take a 21-7 overall record into the postseason.
Who, where, and when the Falcons will play are yet to be determined. Regional playoffs matchups are tentatively set to be announced by the 3C2A on Thursday (Nov. 21). Coalinga should earn an at large bid into the playoffs, marking its second straight postseason appearance.
On Friday, Zoe Ruskofsky led Coalinga with 11 kills and 10 digs in the 25-14, 25-12, 27-25 loss against CVC champion Fresno City. Tyra Kelly and Kaylee Bayer both added 5 kills, Aryam Munoz totaled 10 kills, and Sarah Wold had 15 assists.
