CYPRESS, CA – The Cypress College Chargers wasted no time making a statement on Opening Day, powering past Pasadena City College with a 12-4 victory.
The Chargers' offense exploded early, led by Dustin Robinson, who launched two home runs and collected four RBIs. Justin Tillar and Travis Curry also went deep, with Tillar adding four RBIs of his own. Braden Ruiz contributed to the offensive surge with three RBIs.
Cypress was just as sharp defensively, turning two key double plays to shut down potential scoring opportunities for the Lancers. On the mound, Tommy McGuire set the tone, delivering four dominant innings while allowing just one run before handing it over to the bullpen to close out the win.
UP NEXT: The Chargers will host Chaffey College on Tuesday, January 28th. Cypress takes the mound at 1:30PM.
