The MSJC men's tennis team has won two of their last three matches as they defeated College of the Desert and Imperial Valley and lost to San Diego City.

The Eagles traveled to College of the Desert on February 25th and won easily on the road 8-1. MSJC's number one doubles pair of Michael Masarani and Landon Bristow won 8-4 as did the number two team of Jesus Guadarrama and Tony Martinez. The Eagles would roll on to four more singles wins as Masaroni, Guadarrama, Chad Hayes, and Keith Norman all picked up straight set victories.

MSJC lost a home match two days later against San Diego City 6-3. The Eagles fell behind 3-0 after doubles and could not recover despite splitting the six singles matches. Hayes won his singles match in straight sets while Guadarrama and Norman both earned victories in three sets.

In their most recent match, the Eagles defeated the visiting Imperial Valley Desert Warriors 6-3. Masaroni and Bristow won at number one doubles and each also picked up a singles win. Norman and Guadarrama also won in doubles for the Eagles.

The Eagles are now 3-7 overall on the season and 3-2 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches. MSJC had a match postponed with Mt. SAC last week and are awaiting a make-up date. The Eagles' next scheduled match is Thursday March 20th when they host College of the Desert at 2 pm.
