Finally, City College of San Francisco got to host a home opener in the first of back to back games Friday and Saturday. In the first game of the weekend, CCSF had all its gears clicking as it took the lead vs visting Solano College in just the 5th minute when frosh Iliana Sanchez converted the pass from fellow first year player Leslie Murillo. Shortly after that Leslie got a goal of her own hen she converted a cross form outside back Eleana Gonzalez who streaked up the left flank and delivered the perfect cross.
In the second half, the host Rams build upon their 2-0 halftime lead when co-captain Gabriella Rodil scored her first goal of the season via a excellent pass from right defender Joelle Fong Pedrosa. From that point on, CCSF took control of the game and scored 4 more goals in a 30 minute span of goals by Reilly Roach 51st, Leslie Murillo 78th, Alexandra Arouxet Jara 79th with a goal of the season candidate, and finally Iliana Sanchez 87th with a top corner finish.
Tomorrow at 9:30 am, CCSF will host the most decorated CCCAA Community College program when they host Cerritos College who makes the trip up from Southern California. More stats can be found on ccsfathletics.com
