Poll leaders continue to hold down spots in CCCSIA women's soccer rankings
RIVERSIDE - The landscape has not changed much in this week’s California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) poll as the top five remain consistent. The behemoth in the form of Lake Tahoe continues to pace the state, while Fresno City and San Joaquin Delta follow suit.
Lake Tahoe has yet to lose as they cart a 14-0-2 record deep into conference action. They have not given up a single goal since late September and are coming off of a 16-0 rout over Siskiyous. They will face off against No. 18 Los Medanos for their first top-20 match since early September.
No. 2 Fresno City has not dropped a contest either and has outscored opponents 22-1 in October. They recently defeated previously top-20 ranked West Hills Lemoore, 2-0. No. 3 San Joaquin Delta and No. 4 Cypress are the other two squad who haven’t dropped a single showdown, while No. 5 San Diego Mesa rounds out the top five after dropping just one game so far this season.
No. 6 Rio Hondo leaps two positions to knock on the top five door while remaining unbeaten in conference action. No. 7 Sierra stays put, while No. 10 Fullerton leaps into the top-10 after being ranked 13th overall the previous week.
There are no new additions to the rankings. No. 17 Cerritos falls five positions after losing to No. 6 Rio Hondo, 3-0. No. 19 Las Positas and No. 20 Santa Monica flip flop sports to round out the rankings.
