PITTSBURG, Calif. — The Lake Tahoe women's soccer team is on a roll headed into an extended break before the start of conference play. The Coyotes beat Los Medanos College 4-1 last Friday for their fourth consecutive victory.
Lake Tahoe (4-3-2) got two goals and an assist from midfielder Keely Martin in the win. Forward Brittany Hubberts and midfielder Yesenia Jaimes also scored in the against Los Medanos (1-3-1) — midfielder Tianna Carrington and forward Tori Smith each recorded assists.
After going winless in its first five matches of the 2014 season, Lake Tahoe has now won four straight. Through Wednesday's matches, the Coyotes were ranked 38th in the statewide power rankings.
Lake Tahoe returns to action Friday, Oct. 3 at home against Lassen College (Susanville, Calif.). Kickoff for the Coyotes' Golden Valley Conference opener is scheduled for 2 p.m.
