SBVC (12-0-5; 5-0-2) continues to impress as they roll through the regular season in search of their eighth straight playoff berth in dominating fashion, taking 36 total shots, including 12 shots on goal in a demolition of the Victorville Victor Valley Rams (3-14-1; 1-6), 4-0.
SBVC put together an impressive effort getting the scoring on the right track in the 17th minute, when freshman midfielder Claudia Zepeda (Cathedral City H.S.) connected with freshman forward Amairany Rosales (Rialto H.S.) who rifled a shot past the keeper to give SBVC a 1-0 lead.
In the 35th minute SBVC scored again when Zepeda grabbed her second assist on the afternoon, lobbing a pass to sophomore forward Gabriela Parra (Desert Hot Springs H.S.) who then lifted a shot up and over the keeper to give SBVC a 2-0 lead. SBVC would hold that lead through to halftime as each team retired to their sides with the home side up, 2-0.
SBVC didn't waste time getting back onto the scoreboard, in the 53rd minute Rosales collected her first of two assists on the brisk afternoon, when she angled a shot into sophomore forward Cynthia Chavez (Cathedral City H.S.) who pounded the goal into the back of the net, giving SBVC a 3-0 lead.
Then four minutes later SBVC struck for the final time when Zepeda hammered home a goal on a spectacular assist by Rosales.
