Wrestling: Fresno City, Mt. San Antonio win regional championships
With just the CCCAA State Championships remaining, both Fresno City College and Mt. San Antonio College captured their respective regional championships on Saturday.

With just the CCCAA State Championships remaining, both Fresno City College and Mt. San Antonio College captured their respective regional championships on Saturday. The Rams, the four-time defending state champions, compiled 199.5 team points and won four individual weight championships to capture the Northern California championship. They qualified 11 wrestlers to the state championships, while second place Sacramento City College (172.5 team points) won three individual championships and will be sending nine to the championships.
On the Southern California side, the #1-ranked Mounties finished with 186.5 team points and edged out second place Cerritos College, who had 167.5 points. Mt. San Antonio, the CCCAA Team Dual State Champions, saw seven of their wrestlers advance to championship matches, with five of them coming out on two. Their two losses were to the Falcons, who went on to win four individual weight championships. Both schools will be sending the maximum 12 wrestlers to the state championships.
Cerritos will host the CCCAA State Championships on December 10-11 and tickets may be purchased in advance HERE. Cerritos will be enforcing their mask policy, which requires fans to wear their masks properly while in the gym at all times.
