Palomar, Sierra, Mt. San Jacinto are 1-2-3 in CCCSIA poll heading into postseason
PASADENA, Calif. - Palomar kept its spot as the No. 1-ranked team in the final regular season 2018 California Community College Sports Information Association State Top 20 Poll. None of the top 3 changed positions with Sierra at No. 2 and Mt. San Jacinto No. 3.
The only other spots that stayed the same from the Feb. 12 poll were Diablo Valley at No. 7 and Chabot at No. 15. Sequoias moved up to No. 4, Fresno City went up three spots to No. 5, and San Francisco dropped two to No. 6. LA Trade Tech went up a few spots to No. 8 while Merced tumbled three to No. 9. Irvine Valley rounded out the Top 10 at No. 10.
Feather River jumped into the poll at No. 20 replacing Cabrillo, a No. 16 choice a week earlier.
Not surprisingly, Palomar and Sierra were their region's respective top seeds for the Regional Playoffs.
There will be a final poll taken at the conclusion of the CCCAA State Championship Tournament.
