PASADENA, Calif. - There wasn't any change at the top of the second California Community College Sports Information Association poll, released on Tuesday, with Mt. San Antonio, Sierra College and East Los Angeles occupying the first three spots with 20 games won to their credit.
Five other teams - No. 5 College of the Siskiyous (21-1), No. Diablo Valley (20-4), No. 8 Mt. San Jacinto (21-3), No. CC San Francisco (20-3) and No. 10 Ventura (20-5) - have also reached the 20-win plateau with six others knocking on the door.
In all, the top six teams in last week's inaugural poll held on to their spots this week and No. 7 Diablo Valley and No. 8 Mt. San Jacinto flip-flopping place. L.A. Trade Tech (18-5) dropped four spots to No. 14 as the only team to fall out of the top 10.
Mt. SAC won the first matchup with East Los Angeles convincingly but the teams will have their rematch on Friday night in Walnut but only after the Mounties deal with Chaffey on Wednesday and East L.A. battles No. 12 Pasadena City.
Orange Coast (16-9) is the only new team to the top 20, debuting at No. 19.
