Lopez, Cammarato open season as 3CFCA Player, Pitcher of the Week

LOS ANGELES, Calif – Azusena Lopez and Kylee Cammarato were named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches’ Association Player and Pitcher of the Week on Monday, January 26. The duo became the first winners of the 2026 season.

Lopez was a force in Glendale College’s lineup, slugging three homers across the team’s first four games. She went 8-for13 at the plate, drove in 10 runs and added a pair of triples. The centerfielder helped the Vaqueros open their season 4-0.

Cammarato’s first two starts of her college career were complete game victories, as Saddleback took down No. 11 Cerritos and Santa Barbara City on the way to a 3-0 start to the season. The freshman sported a 2.50 ERA on the weekend, striking out 16 hitters in 14 innings pitched.
