Cypress Head Coach Brad Pickler Wins 1,200th Game
Cypress College Head Coach Brad Pickler picked up his 1,200th career victory on Wednesday afternoon. The Chargers defeated Orange Coast College 9-1 at home for the big milestone. Pickler's 1,200 career victories is the most all-time by a California Community College Athletic Association softball coach, besting former Napa Valley College and Sacramento City College Head Coach Robert Maglione (1,177-381) and Palomar College's Mark Eldridge (1,083).
In his 28th season at the helm of the Chargers, Pickler has led Cypress College to a state record eight CCCAA State Championships, 23 State Championship appearances, and 19 Orange Empire Conference Championships. Pickler is the fifth most winningest active college softball coach at any level, trailing legendary names such as Phil McSpadden (Oklahoma City University), Mike Candrea (University of Arizona), Carol Hutchins (University of Michigan), and Eugene Lenti (DePaul University). All-time Pickler ranked 11th among any level of college softball.
