Week #2 Players and Pitchers of the Week Announced
The California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association is pleased to announce it's Week #2 Southern California Players and Pitchers of the Week. Mt. San Antonio College College's Charlotte Foster was named the Player of the Week, and Allan Hancock's Katelyn Chenault was named the Pitcher of the Week. There were no Northern California nominees for Week #2.
Southern California Player of the Week – Charlotte Foster – Mt. San Antonio College
Sophomore first baseman Charlotte Foster, helped lead the Mounties to a 1-1 record during the week. Foster went 3 for 7 at the plate with a run, and three RBI's. Of her three hits, one was a home run and the other a double. Fosters hails from Murrieta, California where she attended Murrieta Valley High School.
Southern California Pitcher of the Week – Katelyn Chenault – Allan Hancock College
Freshman pitcher Katelyn Chenault threw 13 innings last week, and was a hard luck loser with a loss and a no decision. Chenault struck out 17 batters between her two appearances. Chenault is from Santa Maria, CA where she attended Righetti High School.
