5CTCA Announces First Runners of the Week
September 17, 2026
The NorCal Runners of the Week both hailed from Clovis Community College. First-year athlete Cameron Macias impressed in her debut for The Crush with sophomore Davis Bosch showing he's taken a big step for The Crush and could be their first male Northern California Champion.
Cameron Macias was the top NorCal finisher at the Crush Invitational in 18:39, just 11 seconds off the top two-year finisher position. She has a lifetime best at Woodward Park of 17:28 making her the fastest on the course in 2026.
Sophomore Davis Bosch kicked off his final season for The Crush 53 seconds faster than his freshman year Crush Invitational performance and 28 seconds faster than his 3C2A Championship time of 20:56.
The SoCal Runners of the Week come reverse of the North with a seasoned returner for the females leading and a newcomer serves notice of his intention to chase the 3C2A title in his first year.
Jocelyn Alba of Mt. SAC made her Mountie debut as the top 3C2A finisher at the Clovis Crush Invitational in 18:29. This was 40 seconds faster than her state preview race last fall while at Orange Coast College but just off her 18:09 performance at the 3C2A Championship.
Cooper Castleberry flirted early with sub 20:00 at Woodward Park with might have been the fastest September debut on the course. The San Diego Mesa freshman is a 14:59 performer on the 5k course in high school which points to sub-20 minute potential come November.
