The No. 3 seeded Diablo Valley College men's team beat No. 6 Fresno City 5-2 Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the CCCAA Dual Team Tennis Regional Tournament in Pleasant Hill. 

The Vikings will travel to No. 2 Foothill, a 6-0 winner over Santa Rosa on Tuesday, in the semifinals on April 12. 
The freshman doubles team of Garrett Goldmanand Mariano Salvador set the tone by notching their seventh straight win, defeating Fresno's No. 1 team 8-4. Sophomores Marvic Domingo and Ricky Leungalso prevailed at No. 3 doubles 8-4. 
The Vikings sealed the victory with singles wins by No. 6 Max Tsukonov 6-4, 6-4, No. 4 Eric Lofquist6-3, 6-0 and No. 3 Salvador 6-1, 6-0.  
"After a long, three-day Big 8 Conference tournament last week, our players looked a little tired from playing long competitive matches," DVC coach Jackie Ponciano-Babb said via email. "We came out with the edge of taking two of three doubles matches. ... It was a matter of time between Garrett Goldman, Ricky Leung and Max Tsukonov of who would finish out their opponent before the other teammate. In the end, Tsukonov closed out his match first to give the victory to the Vikings."
