Cerritos continues to sit on top of CCCSIA men's soccer rankings
SAN BERNARDINO - As the regular season gets ready to end this weekend, the top of the California Community College Sports Information Association men’s soccer poll looks the same as it did when it started – with Cerritos College on top of it.
The undefeated Falcons received all eight first place votes cast in a poll of sports information professionals. Cerritos closes out its season Friday in the championship game of the South Coast Conference postseason tournament against the winner of Wednesday’s game between No. 5 Mt. San Antonio and Rio Hondo.
The same teams from the previous week remained in the top 10, with some movement of spots.
Oxnard and Fresno City swapped spots in the final regular season poll, with the Condors moving up one to second, and Fresno City dropping to third by seven points in the voting.
El Camino remained in the No. 4 spot, with Merced moving up two spot to sixth. Butte broke a tie with Hartnell to move up to seventh, with Hartnell taking the No. 8 spot. Taft dropped two spots to No. 9, with Cosumnes River dropping five spots to No. 10.
