RIVERSIDE - There are no surprises in this week’s California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) men’s soccer poll as the top three remain unfazed. Mt. San Antonio, Cerritos and Fresno City make up the top three, respectively, while a new team joins the top five.
No. 4 Oxnard shifts up one position to remain a top five member, while No. 5 Folsom Lake rounds out the grouping. No. 1 Mt. SAC still holds a five-point edge over No. 3 Cerritos, while No. 3 Fresno City is still in the hunt.
Both top teams are undefeated and cart identical records with strong conference starts. Cerritos has faced off against a stronger schedule with their recent 4-1 defeat over No. 6 El Camino, but Mt. SAC has yet to slip in a CCCAA showdown as seen in a tie against Richland (Dallas, TX).
The top 10 remain consistent with the remaining four teams the same but shifting slightly. No. 7 Butte and No. 9 Cypress stand still, while No. 8 Santa Rosa and No. 10 San Joaquin Delta swap spots.
No. 18 Foothill leaps two spots from last week, while No. 17 Fullerton follows suit with a two-position increase.
