GLENDORA, Calif. - The Citrus College Men's Basketball team advanced to the 3rd round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs tonight in a lopsided contest vs visiting San Diego Miramar. Citrus would prevail 99-72. The Owls controlled the game for much of the night, setting the tempo from the get-go and slowing down the run and gun offense of the Jets.
Citrus took some time to warm up from the field, but once things started to click midway through the first half, the fans in attendance witnessed first hand what Citrus has excelled at all year, shooting the lights out from the three-point line. The Owls finished the night with 17 three's altogether, demoralizing the Jet defense with a swarm of deep jump shots. Eight Citrus players sank at least one three pointer in the contest.
