Williams, a 5-7, 185-pound freshman (out of Luther Burbank High, Sacramento) averaged 10.5 yards on 12 carries, including a 70-yard TD in the third quarter that put the Bulldogs fully in command at 28-6. He also scored the first touchdown on a six-yard run to complete a six-play, 32-yard drive after linebacker Mikias Alipate intercepted Siskiyous quarterback Goa Mayak and returned the errant pass 38 yards.
The first of Anthony Cantabrana's five successful conversion kicks put the Bulldogs ahead for good at 7-0 with 2:08 left in the first quarter.
The CSM defense also thwarted the Eagles' next drive. Sophomore lineman Anthony Ameperosa (out of South San Francisco High) recovered a fumble near midfield. CSM held Siskiyous to 142 total yards.
