Cachu’s strong start gives Santa Ana 7-2 victory over No. 7 Cypress

CYPRESS, Calif. – In game two of Santa Ana's series against the No. 7 ranked Cypress Chargers, Nathan Cachu put together a strong outing for his first win of the season and the Dons second win in a row during Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Dons.
Cachu went 6.1 innings, striking out two and allowing two earned runs before exiting. Cole Hoskins collected his fourth save of the season, going 2.1 shutout innings to once again close the door on the Chargers.
At the plate, Juan Gonzalez and Andrew Martinez did most of the damage for the Dons as the two combined for seven hits and three runs batted in on the day.
The Dons a have fought back to .500 overall with a record of 12-12, 2-6 while the Chargers drop to 16-8, 3-5.
Santa Ana will go for the series sweep on Friday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at Eddie West Field.
