SELECT Sport designs official ball for upcoming CCCAA seasons
SACRAMENTO – Showcasing a custom-made ball featuring the California Community College Athletic Association’s official logo and colors, SELECT Sport has launched the CCCAA Brilliant Super Official Match Ball for the upcoming men’s and women’s soccer seasons, it was announced by CCCAA Director of Championships George Mategakis on Tuesday.
“The SELECT Sport team has created a really unique personalized graphic design that utilizes and incorporates the strong logo and colorways of the CCCAA,” said Collin Omen, Product & Marketing Manager for SELECT Sport. “The rich gold and deep blue provide an eye-catching aesthetic that only improves while the ball is in motion. Furthermore, we have incorporated the official motto of the association, “Providing Opportunities…Fulfilling Dreams!”, in the new design of the match ball.
“SELECT Sport fully believes this line will provide an on- and off-field reminder of the possibilities and gateways that open while competing at the collegiate level.”
Student-athletes will be competing this CCCAA season with the same match ball that professional athletes in the German Bundesliga, Portuguese Liga NOS and America USL are utilizing, which aligns with SELECT Sport’s belief in delivering the highest quality soccer equipment to athletes competing at the professional and amateur levels.
“To a soccer player, a quality match ball is more beautiful than the Mona Lisa and worth its weight in gold,” said Onesta Francis, head women’s soccer coach at Reedley College and president of the CCCAA Soccer Coaches Association. “I am extremely excited for the season ahead. I know that this new SELECT Sport match ball will inspire our CCCAA student-athletes to perform at a higher level and live up to their limitless potential.”
Mategakis applauded the new soccer ball and the identity it will bring the CCCAA.
“SELECT Sport scored a game-winner with the CCCAA Brilliant Super Official Match Ball,” he said. “The CCCAA provides unique opportunities for its student-athletes and the uniqueness of this ball exemplifies that ideal.”
The season will begin in August and culminate with the CCCAA Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut in early December.
