Huntington Beach, Calif. - The Golden West women's soccer program battled Long Beach City College to a 0-0 tie Tuesday afternoon in their long awaited home opener. 

The Rustlers were out shot on the afternoon but had the best look at a goal in the first half off a loose ball that would hit the crossbar and bounce out of play. Freshmen Kennedy Klumker and Leandra Gimenez had two shots put on goal but otherwise the offensive attack had a tough time generating opportunities to score. 

Freshman keeper Carly Miles continues to imporve with eight saves in the match for her second consecutive shutout. 

Golden West is back in action Wednesday, September 22nd when they travel to Mt. San Antonio for a 5pm match.
