The Hartnell Baseball team hung till the end, but MPC pulled away in the 11th inning with an 8-7 victory on Saturday March 7th. In the bottom of the ninth inning the Panthers tied things up at seven. Hartnell notched three runs in the inning. Diego Fisher, Isaiah Bueno, and Carlos Drain each had RBIs in the frame. Ryan Rivera took the hill for the Panthers. He went two innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out one. Ruben Gomez, Javier Rodriguez, and Nolan Maldonado each contributed in relief for the Panthers. TJ L'Hommedieu went yard in the sixth inning. Panthers collected nine hits on the day. Michael Vivo, Wyatt Hankard, and Drain all managed multiple hits. Panthers lost despite out-hitting the Lobos nine to seven.
Hartnell dropped their Thursday matchup to the Lobos 8-1. The Panthers (6-12. 0-3) will travel to take on Gavilan on Tuesday March 10th at 2 p.m.
