The women's soccer team beat Rio Hondo College 3-1 in an away game on Friday, September 23rd.
Defensively, the Corsairs enjoyed a solid performance by freshman goalie Johana Ventureno from Venice high, and when things were stuck on the offensive side, coach Benditson brought Jacky Hernandez off the bench. Jacky replied with great two goals in the first half, adding another one in the second half and scoring the first hat-trick of the season by the Corsairs.
"We like to think of her as a "super-sub" with her goal-scoring capability and quality around the 18-yard box," said coach Benditson after the game.
The team starts their division next Tuesday, September 27th at Glendale, at 4:00 pm.
