Gomez also had a big game, going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. Boyd did her part in the circle, holding West Hills to just two hits in the complete-game effort.

The Pirates return to action on Saturday (Feb. 29) when they travel to San Jose City College for a pair of non-conference games. Porterville faces SJCC at 10 a.m. followed by a game at noon against Diablo Valley College.
