Melanie Beavan-Szabo scored a team-high six goals to lead the City College of San Francisco women's water polo team in a 22-12 Coast Conference loss to visiting Las Positas College on Wednesday.

The Rams, still in search of their first win, dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Melanie Lazaro added five goals in Wednesday's defeat against the Hawks. She currently leads CCSF in scoring with 17 goals. Shannon Fracchia-Santelli also scored one goal for the Rams.

Goalkeeper Samantha McEvoy was under attack all game for the Rams and totaled five saves.

CCSF returns to action next Wednesday (Oct. 13) when the Rams travel to West Valley College for a 3 p.m. Coast Conference game.
