The Lady Hornets opened the 2018 season with an impressive 1-0 road win over a tough Mt. San Antonio College Tuesday night.
The first half of the game was a 0-0 stalemate with both teams fighting hard to gain an edge. Sophomore Brianna Remedios had three breakaway shots that were thwarted by the strong play of the Mounties goalie Jacqueline Botello.
In the second half, Fullerton kept pressing the Mt. SAC defense and hit paydirt on the game's only goal by freshman Taylor Hobbs in the 60th minute.
FC goalie Savannah Dyer was solid in the box with a shutout with 4 saves in 90 minutes.
