Grossmont College water polo hosted its last home conference games Wednesday, October 9 at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in San Diego. The women's match-up began at 2:00 p.m. against Palomar College.

The women's game appeared to be an equal match-up to begin, with Palomar scoring the first goal against Grossmont and the score holding at 6-3 by the half (Griffins leading). By the end of the game however, the Griffins blew the Comets out of the water winning 15-6 and maintaining their undefeated status in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference (3-0).

Sophomore #15 Jasmine Miller played an outstanding game against Palomar. She scored 6 goals and continues to be Grossmont's leading scorer this season. Having played 12 games, Miller has scored 47 goals. She currently leads the PCAC with the second highest goals scored (view here)! The Valhalla High graduate competed in the 2017-18 season previously totalling 61 goals in 18 games.

The men's game against Palomar began right after the women's finished (3:30 p.m.), and turned out to be quite an exciting game. In the end, Grossmont takes their first conference loss 12-10. Despite the loss, #7 Wilson Ark has been making a splash for Grossmont this season.

With 14 games under his suit, Ark has 26 goals tallied, 10 assists, 13 steals and 6 ejections drawn. He is a freshman out of Valhalla High.

Grossmont women's and men's next conference game is scheduled against Miramar College Wednesday, October 23 at 2:00 and 3:30 p.m.
