GAME ONE: AHC 9, CHAFFEY 6 | BOX SCORE

Hancock struck first in game one after opening the contest with three quick runs. Lisette Coria registered the first run of the day after capitalizing on a Chaffey error. Xchelle Glidewell plated one with a single to right field before Antoinette Terrones earned a bases-loaded walk. The hosting Panthers responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning, but Mya Mendoza and Abigail Salazar brought the advantage back to three in the next frame by scoring on errors.

Chaffey used a four-run frenzy in the bottom of the third to surge ahead for a brief moment before a two-run double by Lauren Swing put AHC back on top. Swing recorded a second RBI in the top of the sixth before Briana Munoz closed the scoring with a sacrifice fly in the final frame.

Danica Black secured the win in the circle after a two-inning showing while Delayna Quezada posted her first save of the season.

GAME TWO: AHC 7, RIVERSIDE 13 | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season at Riverside City College after facing an early 10-run deficit after surrendering eight runs in the second inning and two in the third.

Madison Gamble registered the first hit and first runs of the game with a two-run homer in the top of the fourth frame, followed by a sacrifice fly to center by Terrones. Mendoza and Munoz closed the gap with one RBI apiece in the fifth. Coria and Mendoza fought to bring the game within reach in the sixth with another two-run showing, but the visiting crew fell short after allowing a trio of scorers in the bottom of the inning.

Munoz earned a non-decision in the circle after surrendering four earned runs and scattering six hits through 4.2 innings of work. Glidewell, who allowed six earned runs and seven hits through 1.1 innings, was charged with her first loss of the season.
