Men’s Volleyball Defeats Irvine Valley in Four

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College got solid performances from Gabriel Vargas-Featherstone and Connor Oliver in a 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-11, 25-21) non-conference victory over Irvine Valley Wednesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
Vargas-Featherstone led the Warriors with 14 kills on 33 swings with a .273 attack percentage. He added five blocks and four digs. Oliver hammered down 11 kills on 22 swings with a .364 attack percentage and also had five blocks in the victory.
It was ECC's second win over Irvine Valley in as many matches after the Warriors defeated the Lasers on Saturday with a sweep at the OCC Quad hosted by Orange Coast College.
Tommy Fraker dished out 38 assists for the Warriors and Luke Grafton had 18 digs to lead the team in the victory.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 12 when they welcome San Diego Mesa to the ECC Gym Complex. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
