Oxnard Men's Soccer Falls to State Champion Cerritos

Oxnard's Head Coach Ross Greaney understands the importance of playing a tough schedule prior to conference play.  OC had three quality wins that will boost their power-point standing for a playoff run.

In the fourth difficult contest to start the season, the Condors fell admirable to the Cerritos Falcons, 2-1.  Last year's CCCAA state champions were too tough at home, especially returning 12 players from last year's roster.

Cerritos seems to have beaten OC at their own game by controlling the ball for the majority of the minutes.

Oxnard's Evan Zamora got through the tough Falcon defense to score in the 80th minute.  Even with several quality shots on goal, the Condors failed to beat the champs on their home pitch.

OC will host Santiago Canyon on Friday at 2:00 and will travel to Compton College next Tuesday from 4:00.
