Baseball's Late Rally Falls Short in 5-4 Series Finale Loss to Sierra

Rocklin, Calif. - The Solano baseball team's late rally fell short in its 5-4 series finale loss at Sierra on Friday afternoon.

Sophomore Brandon Herter and freshmen Nathan Jessell and Herbie Lane collected two hits each with Herter and Lane each counting a double. Sophomore Matthew Hansen earned two of the team's three RBI.

Sophomore starter Connor Corporale (0-2) was charged with the loss on the mound after throwing 5.1 innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out a pair.

Solano (2-4) looks to rebound when it hosts Skyline on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at Laurel Creek Park.
