Marauder Women's Basketball outlasted Citrus College 51-48 in Saturday's conference match-up at AVC.
Antelope Valley improved to 3-2 in conference play and 8-11 overall after holding the Owls to single-digit points in three of the four quarters of play. A big 25-point second quarter gave Citrus a 34-27 advantage at halftime, but the Marauder defense responded by holding the Owls to just 5 points in the third period and 9 points in the fourth.
Offensively, Kristen Lopez led the way with her second straight game-high (third straight team-high). Lopez finished with 14 points (including four three-pointers), 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Mircle Jackson had 13 points with 8 rebounds, while Courtney Hart had 12 points and 8 rebounds. Allysa Taylor had a team-high 10 rebounds, while Bailey Cassell had a game-high 6 assists to go along with 8 points.
The Marauders have road games against Glendale and West LA this week and will return home to battle LA Valley on February 1st at 5:00 pm.
