Vikings drop Pasadena in Conference Action

The Long Beach City College Vikings fell to the Pasadena City College Lancers 4-3 on Friday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium. With the loss, the Vikings drop to 4-8-3 overall, and 1-2-1 in South Coast Conference Action.

The Lancers were first on the board in the 12th minute of the game and then the Vikings answered back with a goal from freshman forward Alex Van Steenbergen and sophomore midfielder Jaelyn Agu and freshman forward Gustavo Cervantes on the assist to go into halftime with the 1-1 tie.

After the half, the Lancers took the lead and then Cervantes tied the game 2-2. Pasadena then came back with two more goals to take back the lead 4-2. Freshman forward Alejandro Galvan hit one last goal for the Vikings in the final minute of the game, but it was not enough and Pasadena took home the 4-3 win.

The Long Beach City College Vikings will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 22 against LA Harbor College at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
