CHULA VISTA, CA (12/8/2019) – In the finale of the Grossmont Invitational, Palomar faced LA Southwest College and won 63-59.
Michael Brandon finished the night with 20 points and five rebounds. Anthony Smith had 19 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks. Anthony Brewer finished with nine points and five rebounds while Jacob Durham had eight rebounds and two points.
The team shot 35.5 percent in the field and 39.1 percent beyond the arc. They had 41 total rebounds and 13 assists. The bench scored 13 points for the Comets and the team caused 15 turnovers to score 20 points.
The men improve to 8-3 on the season and open conference play on Wednesday night. They will play MiraCosta on the road at 6 p.m.
