The Cuyamaca College women's basketball team concluded their 2022-23 season with a loss to sister college Grossmont Friday night. The Lady Coyotes season and chances for post season play were dashed as the team fell victim to multiple player injuries and illness. Coach Marc Carter held the team together for the remainder of the season and played with six girls in many contest. The lack of a 'bench' hamstrung the Lady Coyotes and was obvious in multiple contest creating exhausted players with great talent to simply not keep the team in contention in later minutes of games. However, we are proud of the valiant effort by the team and look forward to the players getting a much deserved rest and having the team 're-tool' with new players to join the returners next season.
