Bulldogs Bounce Back with Day Three Victory

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College baseball team closed out the three-day homestand versus College of the Sequoias with a 4-1 victory on Saturday afternoon. | BOX SCORE

Both teams started off hot in the opening frame after the Giants (1-2) scored one runner and doubles by Trenton Pallas and Vander Hodges plated three for the home squad. Evan Steinberger registered the final run of the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Bulldogs (2-1) were led at the plate with two hits apiece from Jacob Steels, Pallas, and Hodges.

Luke Kovach collected the win on the rubber after striking out six batters and allowing one earned run through six innings. Anthony Lopez picked up the save by punching out five batters and scattering just three hits through the final three innings of play.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday, February 1st, with a road trip to Taft College. The first pitch is slated for 1 PM in Taft, Calif.
