The Long Beach City College women's water polo team continued its perfect start to the 2014 season as the squad moved to 5-0 on Wednesday. Freshman Burdette Forsch (Yorba Linda HS) scored a game-high five goals to help lead the Vikings to a 16-6 win at Rio Hondo College in their South Coast Conference opener.

Freshman Cathryn Lynch (Marina HS) scored four goals while freshman Ashley Diaz (Esperanza HS) added three goals. Freshman goalie Ayla Collier (Poly HS) posted 10 saves to secure the victory.

Long Beach, now 1-0 in SCC play, returns to conference action next Wednesday (Sep. 24) when it hosts Chaffey College at 3 p.m. in it's home opener.
