After finally getting on the court, the Reedley College women's volleyball team opened the new season in the Bakersfield Classic with two losses.

Coach Mariah Stewart's Lady Tigers had to forfeit two matches with Los Medanos and Sacramento City in Sacramento on Sept. 6 after not having enough players.

They opened play in Bakersfield on Friday and dropped matches to host Bakersfield (25-10, 25-10, 25-5) and to Fullerton (25-8, 25-10, 25-7).

No statistics were available.

The Tigers were scheduled to open Central Valley Conference play at Merced on Wednesday, Sept. 14 before traveling to defending champion Fresno City College on Friday and to West Hills-Lemoore on Wednesday, Sept. 21.
