WOMEN'S WATER POLO: BACK ON COURSE

After a tough conference loss at the hands of Riverside City last week, the FC women's water polo team showed off some offensive firepower at home against Cypress College on Wednesday beating the Chargers 18-4.

The Hornets did not waste any time as they whipped through the Cypress defense in the first couple of minutes with a 6-0 lead. The first quarter saw 5 different FC players hitting their shots in Diana Leivas, Bryanna Santis, Abigail Nunez, Kelly Doherty, and Alexandra Lopez.

Fullerton pulled up a little bit in the second quarter as they held a 7-1 lead heading into halftime.

The second half was all Hornets as they held the Chargers to only 3 more goals while tacking on 11 more goals to seal the conference victory.

FC goalie Tatiana Cava was solid in the box with 4 goals against, 2 steals, and 8 saves.

Up Next: Fullerton (5-1 overall, 1-1 conference) will play in the Mt. SAC Tournament this Friday and Saturday. Since it is a large tourney featuring 17 teams, FC will be hosting and playing their games in the Hornet pool. Game one will be on Friday, September 27th at home against LA Valley at 8:15 am. Game two will also be on Friday against Grossmont at 12:40 PM. Come on out and support the team. The Tournament Schedule
