San José City College Lady Jags celebrated a walk-off 4-3 win against Folsom Lake Falcons thanks to Bella Caruso-Commisso's RBI single with bases loaded in soggy weather.
At the bottom of the 7th inning, the Lady Jags were down 3-2 and eager to quickly win the game because of heavy downpours and strong winds.
With bases loaded, Kiya Sandoval was the tying run on third, and Melissa Felix was the winning run on second. After the Falcons' multiple pitching delays due to a wet ball from the rain, Jade Henry's patience at the plate paid off. Henry walked to first, allowing Sandoval to score.
With Felix now on third, Bella Caruso-Commisso's shot to the shortstop enabled the speedy Felix to score the winning run.
Chelsea Rayment shut out the Falcons in the first three innings with two strikeouts. Alaina Valdez relieved Rayment in the 4th inning and earned the win. Valdez allowed no hits, no earned runs, and had one strikeout.
Sandoval and Felix scored two runs each. They hit back-to-back bunts in the bottom of the second inning, later scoring the first two runs of the game by Henry's stand-up double to left field.
In the 6th inning, Felix made a difficult catch while running into the fence in center field to prevent a runner from scoring. Followed by Malia Venegas' diving play at third to end the inning. Henry had 3 RBIs and Caruso-Commisso had 1 RBI.
