Citrus Opens Conference With Canyons

Citrus College opened Western State Conference action against College of the Canyons Wednesday night but fell in three sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-6).

The Owls drop to 4-10 on the year, 0-1 in conference, while the Cougars improve to 7-7 overall and start WSC action 1-0.

Caren Stone led the Owls with six kills and was a threat from the service line with five aces. She also added five digs in the match. Vanessa Marquez finished with 12 assists and seven digs on the night.

Citrus heads to Glendale College on Friday for a 6:00 p.m. match.
