The No. 6 in SoCal Hornets hosted No. 5 El Camino College on Thursday and put away the Warriors 5-2.
In the bottom of the third, Fullerton took a 2-0 lead when Meah Almaraz ripped a double to left field scoring Alyssa Garcia and Cassidy Hornung.
The Hornets added two more runs in the fourth inning grabbing a 4-0 lead. Jordan Elias knocked a single through the right side bringing Alendy Aguilar home, and Alyssa Garcia grounded out to first giving Elias the chance to score.
El Camino got on the board in the sixth inning from a solo jack over left by Destiny Ostorga.
In the sixth, FC put up an insurance run thanks to Alyssa Garcia's single shot to left field plating Allyson Fuentes.
FC pitcher Allyson Fuentes (4-0) went the distance earning her fourth win on the season tossing 7 innings with only 4 hits against, 1 earned run, had 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts.
Up Next: Fullerton (6-0 overall, 1-0 OEC) will play Pasadena City at Bakersfield College on Friday, February 17th at 1:30 pm. Later in the day, FC will take on Bakersfield College at 3:00 pm.
