Broach/Lacangan back to winning ways, Hancock/Van Der Brink win one

CARLSBAD, CA (4/15/2022) -- Palomar took on Mt. San Jacinto College and Grossmont College at Frazee Beach on Friday and lost 3-2 to MSJC and 5-0 to Grossmont. 

The 1s pairs consisting of Holland Hancock and Olivia Van Der Brink won their match against MSJC 21-10 and 21-18. The pair hung in there against a tough Grossmont pair but eventually had to retire due to an injury. The 3s, Alana Lacangan and Kenna Broach, went 2-0 on the day. Against MSJC, they won 21-16 and 21-19. In a back and forth battle in game two, it was Lacangan and Broach who prevailed in the end with a 21-18 and 21-17 victory. 

The Comets move to 3-11 overall with one week to go before the PCAC Individuals Tournament.
